Northeast Arc has promoted Kristy Aparo to be the director of its Family Services Division.

Aparo, a resident of Rockport, has worked at Northeast Arc since 2023, starting as the staffing coordinator for Guided Personal Supports. She was promoted to be the program director for Guided Personal Supports and later to service director of Guided Personal Supports and Community Resources.

In her new role, Aparo will be responsible for overseeing and directing day-to-day operations of the Family Services Division through strategic support and leadership.  She will ensure the highest quality of customer service to individuals and families while also focusing on complying with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and policy development and implementation.

“Kristy has quickly proven herself as an effective and well-respected leader at Northeast Arc,” said Jeanne Russo, Chief Operating Officer, Northeast Arc. “Her deep understanding of the multiple departments that fall under the Family Services Division will serve her well in this new role.”

“The Family Services Division includes four Support Centers, individualized coaching, Assistive Technology, and Recreation. Aparo earned her bachelor’s degree in music education at Salve Regina University.
