Northeast Arc has named Annielou Lavin the director of its Long-Term Support Services (LTSS) division. LTSS is Northeast Arc’s largest program, supporting more than 5,000 largely low-income Massachusetts residents through three programs: Personal Care Management (PCM), Adult Family Care (AFC), and Day Habilitation.

Lavin, a Beverly resident, joined Northeast Arc in 2018 as an administrative assistant in the PCM program. Since that time, she has been promoted within the PCM program as skills trainer and most recently the PCM program director. Lavin also has volunteered to work on multiple agency committees and is currently part of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee and Employee Engagement Committee.

“Annielou is a rising star at Northeast Arc; her career path is what I envision for all human service workers. She has seized each opportunity presented to her and has grown steadily in our organization,” said Jo Ann Simons, president and CEO of Northeast Arc. “Annielou is driven by a commitment to our mission and is brimming with innovative ideas to ensure that we are positively impacting the lives of as many people as possible.”

Northeast Arc’s PCM and AFC programs allow individuals with medical, physical, or developmental disabilities to remain at home where they can live independently and with a high quality of life. Day Habilitation programs are community-based and help participants acquire, retain, and improve self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills.

“I’m excited to continue my work to support the Northeast Arc’s mission as it has always resonated with me and my family,” said Lavin about her new role. “I look forward to continuing to build on the incredible accomplishments that NeArc has made over the last 70 years.”
