In celebration of National Nurses Week, we asked families supported by Northeast Arc’s Adult Family Care program to share some messages for the nurses who provide care and support. Read their wonderful messages below!
- Tara is wonderful to work with, knowledgeable, understanding and very responsive. Tara’s a great addition to the NEARC AFC program.
- Jen has been an amazing support team member. She is conscientious, considerate, and dedicated to her clients and their families. She is always willing to troubleshoot and tap her network to find solutions to issues that we are experiencing and truly has our son’s best interests in mind. Never reluctant to go the extra mile, she is irreplaceable. Thank you, Jen!
- Today, we had a visit from our nurse Tara Bursey. She is a wonderful & compassionate nurse. She is personable as well as professional answering any & all questions that we asked her. She is genuinely interested in the wellbeing of the client as well as the caregiver. We as a family feel blessed to have her as our nurse for James. We appreciate all that she does & would like to recognize her as an outstanding nurse. Nurses do God’s work & she is certainly one of them!
- Nurse Jess is wonderful! She is very warm and friendly and makes us feel comfortable to say or ask about anything. We love having her as part of our support team and feel very grateful to have someone so kind, thoughtful, and caring. We appreciate all of her help!!!
- The nurse that works with my family is Tara. Even though she has only been working with us for a few months, she is fantastic!!!!! She jumped right in. She is kind, considerate, and very caring!!!! She truly is an asset to The Arc and to our family!!!! We are truly grateful to have her on our team!!!!!
- Jason and I are very lucky to have Stacey come to our home, she is very helpful and always happy to be here. We look forward to seeing her each month. Jason is always glad when she visits.
- I would like to say that Tara is a lovely nurse! She is so kind and helpful to us. She’s always pleasant, supportive and upbeat when we have a visit with her.
- Jennifer, you are such a kind person who cares about us. We are very lucky to have you in charge of us. Thank you very much for your kindness.

- It’s been a long difficult year for everyone but we want to acknowledge your efforts in trying to maintain as much normalcy as possible with your professionalism and positive support. We appreciate your input and encouragement!
- We would like to thank Stacey very much for all her help. She is a very kind, responsible and caring person. Our family has been going through a very difficult time after losing our dad and Pranvera’s mental illness, which got worse after she lost him.
- We appreciate the care and thoughtfulness Tara brings to our meetings. She is available to answer any question we might have and it is clear that she wants to ensure that Martha is getting any medical assistance she might need.
