Human Rights
Northeast Arc (Ne-Arc) is committed to promoting and protecting the Human Rights of all people who are supported by the agency. This is accomplished through education of our staff, families, board members and people served. We have an active Human Rights Committee who reviews any restrictive measures, training of individuals, staff and families, investigations and agency policies and procedures that may impact a person’s rights. Questions or suggestions? Contact Kathy Marques at 978-924-5149.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
At Northeast Arc we celebrate our differences in all forms and are committed to creating an inclusive community for our employees and the individuals we serve. Inclusion is our mission, and it informs every aspect of our agency. At Heritage Shredding and the Center for Linking Lives, individuals with disabilities work alongside Northeast Arc employees, blurring the lines between the helpers and those being helped.
Northeast Arc’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee provides educational opportunities to employees and regularly solicits feedback from our workforce in order to make sure diverse backgrounds and perspectives are represented.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accesibility Committee is focused on:
- Developing awareness on cultural sensitivity and inclusion
- Identifying and addressing barriers within organizational systems
- Attracting and retaining a talented workforce skilled at working in an inclusive and respectful manner with one another and with the community
- Partnering with Human Resources to develop customized training for hiring managers and staff relating to cultural competency and the potential for unconscious bias
