Saving Lives Swim Program
Learning how to swim is a critical part of childhood development, and important to ensure the safety of children around bodies of water. Through swim classes, children can acclimate to the water while building comfort and confidence, while parents can learn about the importance of supervision for drowning prevention. Swim lessons are valuable for both parents and children, which is why Northeast Arc Early Intervention (EI) is now offering to cover the costs of swimming lessons for eligible EI participants. Below, find eligibility information as well as available swim classes in our area.
Eligibility
All children 6 months or older who have a signed plan in Northeast Arc’s Early Intervention program.
What Northeast Arc Will Cover
Northeast Arc will cover the cost of 1 multi-session course per eligible child.
Available Courses
Northeast Arc has partnered with the YMCA of the North Shore, YMCA of Metro North, and JCC of the North Shore to offer swim lessons to families. Find more information on their offerings below, and be sure to note the different registration processes.
