Transition Group (Next Stage)
Our Next Stage groups are targeted to provide individuals age 14-22 with education and support around issues faced during the transition to adulthood and becoming a more active member in their community. Next Stage uses improvisation games and role plays similar to other Spotlight programs (e.g., Social Scenes), while also incorporating psychoeducation, support groups and life skills training. Activities addressed include shopping and cooking, support for résumé writing, and interviewing skills. During the summer, the Next Stage groups visit local colleges and have an opportunity to speak with the admission and registrar staff to learn more about the college application process. Contact Chris Curtin, Program Coordinator, to learn more: 978-624-2335.
