Arc Tank Partnerships

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and the Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation have partnered with Northeast Arc to bring you The Arc Tank this year, by donating to The Changing Lives Fund.

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism is seeking ideas that will positively address the needs of people with autism who reside in New England, and that promote better care and more active and independent lifestyles.

The Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation is seeking ideas that will address aging well with autism in the Greater Boston area. This track will be able to target ideas that meet the unmet needs of older adults with autism and their families by developing strategies for making the ‘aging in the community’ movement more inclusive. Projects should address one or more of the following needs: increased social integration; increased access to healthy lifestyles; a broadened awareness of geriatric health issues; expansion of recreational/social and volunteer opportunities; more effective methods of ensuring personal safety; better management of polypharmacy; stronger approaches to management of chronic diseases and co-occurring disorders; innovative transportation models; and housing for aging adults with autism. Eligible projects must be inclusive of nonverbal and minimally verbal individuals.

Applications are to address any need for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism and their families. Please indicate on your application if your idea may also connect with the goals identified above for The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and the Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation.
