The Women’s Edge, in partnership with the Globe Magazine, recently announced that Northeast Arc, ranked 23rd in its 24th annual list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. This is the seventh year in-a-row that Northeast Arc has been recognized on this prestigious list.
The Northeast Arc, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with disabilities or autism become full participants in the community, is led by Jo Ann Simons of Swampscott, who has dedicated her career to helping people with disabilities.
“It is an honor to once again be included on the list of the Top Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. This recognition is not about me but rather reflects the tireless effort the entire Northeast Arc staff puts in every day to ensure people with disabilities have every possible opportunity to succeed,” said Jo Ann Simons, President & CEO, Northeast Arc.
Simons attended a breakfast honoring the top women-led businesses alongside other women leaders from Northeast Arc, representing the diverse range of programs and services offered to individuals and families. The Women’s Edge is a nonprofit that propels women leaders to achieve personal and professional success and deliver positive impact within their businesses and communities. It creates the annual list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by examining revenue or operating budget as well as other variables, including number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects.
